This striking Veracruz amethyst specimen comes from the classic Las Vigas / Piedra Parada locality in Veracruz, Mexico. It features a prominent, elongated prismatic crystal with excellent transparency, vitreous luster, and vibrant purple zoning that ranges from pale lilac to deeper violet tones.
The main termination shows sharp, well-formed faces with characteristic striations and natural growth patterns typical of this renowned Mexican occurrence. Smaller attached crystals add to the sculptural cluster formation. Veracruz amethyst is highly prized by collectors for its clarity, bright color, and distinctive elongated habit formed in volcanic andesite host rock.
